Name: Modou Barrow
Position: Striker

Modou Barrow has somewhat picked his Swansea City career off the floor of late.

Swansea City have had a very strange and disappointing campaign to date.

After a brilliant eighth-placed finish last term and a fast start to this, Garry Monk was being hailed as one of the best young managers in Europe.

However, after just one win from their next 11 matches, the man who seemingly could do no wrong was shown the exit door.

Like Aston Villa, it’s pretty much impossible to highlight a player who’s improved on last season’s performances, with facts and stats proving that they haven’t.

With this in mind we had to look at the fringe players, and it was there we spotted Modou Barrow.

The forward had made just 16 appearances in the past two seasons but has recently been more involved with the first-team squad, starting two of the last four matches.

Barrow, 23, has already played two more games than last term and has one assist to his name, but the fact he has yet to net a league goal for the club shows the hopeless task we had.
