Swansea looked to be in huge danger of being involved in a relegation battle as they entered into March, and with a trip to the Emirates to face Arsenal as their first fixture in the month, things didn’t appear to be getting any easier.

However, the Swans were 2-1 victors in north London, and went on to pick up nine points from a possible 12, including wins against Norwich City and Aston Villa.

One of their stand out performers in March – and in 2016 to date – was Gylfi Sigurdsson. The Iceland international came off the bench to pick up the assist for Ashley Williams’ winner at Arsenal, before the scoring the winner in the 1-0 success against the Canaries, again finding the net in the defeat to Bournemouth, asa well as setting up Federico Fernandez’s decisive goal against Villa.
