Swansea City are poised to re-sign former winger Scott Sinclair in a January deal worth £2m, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League side, who defeated Watford 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium on Monday night, are ready to welcome back the Aston Villa forward this month in a bid to help them stave off relegation this term.

The 26-year-old, who is a former England Under-21 international, has scored six goals in 20 appearances in all competitions for Villa this season.

Sinclair, who left the Liberty Stadium for Manchester City back in August 2012 in a deal worth up to £8m, is ready to quit Remi Garde’s side this month after losing his first-team spot under the French manager.
