Swansea City have been reportedly linked with a last-ditch deadline day move for League One star Yaser Kasim, according to the South Wales Evening Post.

The Premier League side, who currently lie just four points above the relegation zone, are willing to splash out £1m on the Swindon Town midfielder before tonight’s 11pm deadline.

The 24-year-old, who has nine international caps for Iraq, has made 22 appearances in all competitions for the Robins this season.

Kasim, whose current deal at the County Ground runs out this summer, had spells with Tottenham, Brighton and Hove Albion, Luton Town and Macclesfield Town before joining Swindon in 2013.
