The Arsenal players who must perform this weekend away to Everton in the Premier League.

It’s been a simply disastrous start to the 2020/21 campaign for Arsenal and their manager Mikel Arteta. The Gunners find themselves in 15th position and are starting to fall behind teams in 14th and higher.

Arteta, simply must find a way to turn the tide and get his Arsenal side playing to their full potential and climbing up the league, but it’s clearly not an easy task.

For that to happen, his big names have to step up to the plate and start raising their performances.

With a tough trip to Everton tomorrow, we name three players who must put in a positive performance if Arsenal are to gain a vital three Premier League points on the road.

David Luiz

David Luiz should return to the side this afternoon, following his scary head injury with Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez. A big part of Arteta’s success with Arsenal last season was down to Luiz’s leadership at the back. Unfortunately for the Gunners, for one reason or another that hasn’t happened so far this campaign. But Luiz needs to try and become that leader once again against the Arsenal back line.

Nicolas Pepe

Nicolas Pepe joined Arsenal two summers ago for a hefty £72million fee. Unfortunately the flying winger has not yet lived up to his price tag in an Arsenal shirt. However, the Ivorian was given the chance from the start against Southampton in midweek and seemed to bring a different dimension to the Arsenal attack. We believe Arteta will start Pepe again today and will be desperate for a match-winning performance.

Bukayo Saka

Saka has been one of Arsenal’s best performers this season, if not the best in an Arsenal shirt. Having only just turned 19-years-old, he has taken the pressure on his young shoulders and repeatedly stepped up as a key figure in this under par Arsenal team. If Arsenal are to snatch all three points this afternoon, Saka is likely to be a major part of their success.
