He has had an up-and-down season at Everton, but Ross Barkley has certainly been on the up since the turn of the year.

The England international, who returned to the squad this afternoon for the first time since Euro 2016, managed just two goals and two assists in his first 14 Premier League games this term, but has been in excellent form since then, netting twice and laying on five assists in his last ten league games for the Toffees.

The 23-year-old was outstanding in their 4-0 success over Manchester City in January, and assists in their recent win over West Brom and defeat at Tottenham has continued his resurgence in form, and it’s form that has once again caught the eye of Chelsea, who are reportedly eyeing up a deal for the attacker.

Barkley is beginning to look like the player we all thought he was when he burst onto the scene a few years ago, and he’s one that would certainly bolster Chelsea’s attacking options should he make the move in the summer.
