The real reason Paul Pogba decided to undergo surgery was to ensure he didn’t miss out on playing for France at Euro 2020, according to the Telegraph.
There has been much speculation surrounding Pogba, whether it’s a January move or the real state of his injuries.
The talismanic midfielder has missed pretty much all of the season for Manchester United, having picked up an ankle injury back in September.

These hopes were dashed on the 1st of January though, when Pogba was not named in the squad to face Arsenal and subsequently manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer announced that the World Cup Winner will be undergoing surgery.
It was assumed by the footballing world that Pogba was having surgery to sort the problem which has plagued him all season, but the Telegraph have reported it’s a different ankle problem.
The paper have also stated that Pogba is concerned about missing Euro 2020, a statement which is sure to aggrieve many Manchester United fans, who are desperate for their star to return and help them get back in to the Premier League top four.
