The Welsh FA has rejected an approach from Hull City to speak to boss Chris Coleman about their vacant managerial post.

The Tigers are without a manager following the departure of Steve Bruce last month, and they had identified the 46-year-old as a potential replacement with just 11 days to go until the start of the Premier League season for the newly-promoted club.

However, the FAW says that the association is “fully focused” on the upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign, as the nation looks to build on an incredible Euro 2016, where they were reached the semi-finals before being beaten by the eventual champions, Portugal.

Bruce departed the KC Stadium after a breakdown in his relationship with vice-chairman Ehab Allam, and the east Yorkshire outfit are in somewhat of a crisis with no manager, a number of injuries and midfielder Mohamed Diame on the verge of completing a £4.5 million move to Newcastle United.
