The 32-year-old Serbian’s Chelsea contract expires at the end of this season.

Ivanovic has won everything possible at Chelsea and he even scored the winner in their 2013 Europa League success.

The Serbian has been very much out of favour at Stamford Bridge this season. He is versatile and is accomplished at both right-back and centre-back.

As the Hammers are struggling for defensive experience, Ivanovic would be both a great player and mentor as he’s coming towards the end of his career.

The veteran still has a good couple of seasons left at the high end of the Premier League and he would be very cheap given his short contract.
