A contentious choice may be, as his form is steadily improving, but in the main, Dejan Lovren has not hit the same heights at Liverpool as he did at Southampton.

The Croatian international made a £20 million switch to Merseyside in 2014, which seemed like a steep figure for a player who had one good season in English football.

He made a number of errors in his first season at Anfield and, although he seems to have improved under Klopp, it still feels like the 27-year-old is short of the quality we all saw at Southampton.

However, this time last year, Adam Lallana would have been part of this overrated trio, yet he has improved no end to become a crucial member of the team, and a solid season for Lovren could see him go the same way.
