Manchester United drew at Everton on Sunday which extended their winless Premier League run to three matches.

Jose Mourinho’s side took the lead through Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a dull first half, but Marouane Fellaini was adjudged to have fouled Idrissa Gueye in the penalty box, allowing Leighton Baines to equalise for Ronald Koeman’s side a minute from time.

The draw, a sixth in eight league matches for United, is not going to please Mourinho too much, but it was once again an improved performance from his side.

Nevertheless, the result means that the Red Devils are now nine points adrift of Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal in fourth, and can all but say goodbye to any title challenge, given that they are now 13 points behind Antonio Conte’s Chelsea at the summit.

Mourinho’s men do have a League Cup semi-final to look forward to in the New Year, and go into their game in Zorya on Thursday knowing a win will see them qualify for the last 32 of the Europa League.

However, United’s struggles have increased speculation about who they could look to sign in January, and several top names have been linked to Old Trafford as a result.

Yet, there are some rumours that you really can’t see happening, and here are TWO of them…
