Arsene Wenger is looking to regain the Premier League title this season 12 years after he last won it, and his Arsenal side are going about it in the right way so far.

The Gunners have won eight of their opening 13 league games, with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool the only side to take all three points off of Wenger’s men so far this season.

Their tally of 28 points sees them fourth in the table, three points adrift of league leaders Chelsea, and they are well-placed to sustain a title challenge this time around given their current 19-match unbeaten run.

Arsenal haven’t lost in any competition since that 4-3 defeat to Liverpool on the opening weekend, and since then have won eight league games, three Champions League matches, and two League Cup ties.

Consequently, Wenger’s men qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League with two games to spare, although did their chances of winning the group no favours with a 2-2 draw at home to Paris Saint-Germain, and are through to the last eight of the League Cup, where they’ll take on Southampton on Wednesday.

It’s been an excellent start from the Gunners as they look to end a 12-year wait for the Premier League title, but some still feel that they could come up short as the season progresses.

One area of concern could be the back four, so here is the dream Arsenal defence, including one key January target…
