All things considered, Chelsea didn’t have to worst transfer window, with new manager Antonio Conte managing to strengthen in all the areas in which he set out to upon his arrival in the Premier League, but how much better could it have been?

The Italian manager got two key signings confirmed early on in the window, landing deals for Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi and Premier League champion, N’Golo Kante from Marseille and Leicester, respectively.

Things weren’t quite as plain sailing from then in though, as the search for defensive reinforcements became the priority for the hierarchy at Stamford Bridge.

A search which lasted through until Deadline Day as the Blues saw numerous targets come and go before eventually landing deals for former Chelsea man, David Luiz and former Bolton and Sunderland full-back, Marcos Alonso.

Maybe not the ideal signings for the 2014/15 Premier League champions, but certainly crucial additions for the former Juventus manager who was desperate to solidify the back line before the deadline.

But fans can always dream, just what could have Conte’s line-up been if they had landed all the top targets that were linked to the Bridge? Well, take a look…
