There’s a few that could have got the nod for this spot. Son Heung-min has been in impressive form for Spurs this season, as has Theo Walcott for Arsenal, but Christian Eriksen’s brilliant consistency gets him the place.

Last season’s tally of 13 assists was only bettered by Ozil and, even in the 2014/15 season where he laid on only two, he scored 12 times for Spurs.

He is always contributing to the team in some way, be it goals or assists, and, although he doesn’t score as many as Harry Kane or Dele Alli, he is just as important to the team as they are.

Incredible positional awareness and the ability to carve open defences, Eriksen makes this side.
