Spanish international Isco was once again restricted to a substitute cameo as Real Madrid beat Sporting Gijon 2-1 in La Liga on Saturday.

The 24-year-old has struggled to nail down a first team place under Zinedine Zidane this season, this all after making 43 appearances in all competitions last time out for the European champions.

However, his growing frustration, and unlikeliness to sign a new deal, has alerted several English clubs, notably Tottenham, Arsenal, and Manchester United.

Thus, it’s a deal Pochettino must get done in January, as he can provide Spurs with greater options both in advanced areas, and also in deeper-lying midfield positions.

Isco would slot perfectly into this attacking trio, and all three of them could chop and change position such is their versatility and adeptness in each role.

It could be a signing that takes Spurs from outsiders in the title race to genuine challengers.
