Several West Ham fans were hoping that the move to the London Stadium would help the club nail down a spot in European competition.

However, 12 games into their first season at the old Olympic Stadium, it’s not looking like that’s going to happen.

Slaven Bilic’s side have won just three and drawn two of those 12 matches, and find themselves just a point and a place above the bottom three.

Victories over Crystal Palace and Sunderland a few weeks back looked to have steadied the ship in East London, but subsequent defeats at Everton and Tottenham have suggested that there are still some issues that need addressing.

They’ll be hugely frustrated to have lost at White Hart Lane last week, having been 2-1 up with just a couple of minutes to play, and it could turn out to be costly given their run of fixtures up until Christmas, with games against Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool to come.

However, Hammers fans do have something to look forward to in the form of a League Cup quarter-final against United next week, but their league form needs improving fast if they are to avoid being sucked into a relegation battle.
