Manchester United host Greek side PAOK in the fourth round of Europa League group phase matches on Thursday.

The Red Devils go into the game with just three points from their opening three matches, having drawn with FC Twente, Porto and Fenerbahce.

That run of results leaves United 21st in the 36-team table, but interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy will be optimistic about his side’s chances of picking up all three points on Thursday evening.

In the meantime, it has emerged that there of United’s most experienced players could be on their way out of the club next year.

As per Football Insider, defenders Harry Maguire, Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof could all leave Old Trafford next year.

The report suggests that the trio are all likely to leave the club when their respective contracts expire at the end of the current season.

Evans, 36, made a shock return to Man United in the summer of 2023 and has since made 38 appearances for the club, despite initially being brought back to the club as emergency cover.

Maguire has enjoyed highs and lows during his time at Manchester United

Maguire, meanwhile, became the most expensive defender in history when he joined United from Leicester City for a fee of around £80 million in 2019.

He has since endured a relatively difficult time in Manchester, spending a number of periods out of favour under several different managers.

In total the England international has played 215 times for the Red Devils across all competitions, winning both the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.

Lindelof is another player that has fallen out of favour somewhat at Old Trafford in the past few seasons.

In total the Swede has played more than 250 times for United since his 2017 move from Benfica, but the 30-year-old hasn’t started a league game so far this term.

The report claims that al three central defenders are likely to leave the club at the end of the current campaign, with incoming manager Ruben Amorim likely to want to sign his own defenders.
