The Premier League returns on Saturday with the North London derby on Sunday the pick of the weekend’s ties.

Tottenham Hotspur will host fierce rivals Arsenal on Sunday afternoon, with plenty at stake for both sides.

Spurs have won one, draw one and lost one of their opening three matches of the new Premier League season, while the Gunners won their first two games but were held to a 1-1 draw by Brighton and Hove Albion last time out.

Manager Mikel Arteta will expect to see his side challenge for the Premier League title once again this season, as they have done in each of the past two campaigns, and victory in the North London derby would provide a welcome boost to his squad.

In the meantime, though, one of Arteta’s most important players is attracting interest from a number of huge European clubs.

As per CaughtOffside, William Saliba is being tracked by German giants Bayern Munich, Champions League holders Real Madrid and French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

The report claims that Arsenal have no interest in selling the central defender and would only consider doing so if they received offers in excess of £100 million.

Saliba’s fine form has attracted interest from a number of European clubs

Despite this, all three European clubs are monitoring the Frenchman as they all hold him in extremely high regard.

Saliba, 23, initially joined Arsenal back in 2019, signing from French side Saint-Etienne.

He didn’t play for the Gunners until the start of the 2022/23 campaign, though, after spending time on loan at Saint-Etienne, Nice and Marseille.

Since then the centre-back has established himself as one of the best in the world in his position, making 86 appearances for the North London side.

He has formed an impressive partnership with Brazil international Gabriel at the heart of Arsenal’s defence, and Arteta and those in charge of the club will be desperate to keep hold of him.

Saliba’s current contract with Arsenal is set to run until the end of the 2026/27 season.
