Liverpool host rivals Manchester United on Sunday in a match that could prove crucial for both clubs.

The two sides are both pushing for a European place this season, although United have also been talked about in relation to the title race as they sit third in the table at present.

Jurgen Klopp’s side returned to winning ways on Wednesday courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace, with Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah both on the scoresheet.

The Reds have endured a difficult season so far but remain in contention for a top four spot following their win on Wednesday.

Regardless of how successful their European push proves to be, it appears that Liverpool’s squad could look quite different next term.

According to reports, a number of their current crop of players could leave Anfield this summer.

As per Fabrizio Romano, midfielders Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could leave the club when their respective contracts expire this summer.

The pair have both struggled for game time this season, starting just seven league games combined, and it appears that they will not remain with the club beyond tis summer.

Oxlade-Chamberlain will likely leave Liverpool this summer

It is claimed that there are currently no talks going on between Keita and the club, which suggests he will leave at the end of the season.

Romano also claims that Arthur Melo, who joined Liverpool on loan from Juventus last summer, will most likely return to the Italian side when his short-term deal expires.

The Brazilian has made just one appearance for The Reds since arriving in England, with injuries keeping him out of contention for the majority of the campaign so far, and Liverpool have therefore decided not to activate his option-to-buy clause.

On Friday, it was announced that striker Roberto Firmino will exit Anfield at the end of the current season.

The Brazil international has been one of Liverpool’s most important players over the past few seasons, but his playing time has reduced significantly this term and he will now leave the club this summer, as reported by BBC Sport.
