Aston Villa’s away trip against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon (4:00pm) is the sides’ first FA Cup meeting since 1992.

In their last meeting in this competition, Villa eliminated Spurs in a third round replay thanks to a Dwight Yorke goal.

Last season, the Villans crashed out of the competition in the fourth round at the hands of Manchester City.

However, the 2015 competition proved more successful for the Lions as they reached the semi-finals.

Steve Bruce’s side have previously won the competition seven times. The last time they lifted the trophy was in 1957.

After their relegation from the Premier League in May, Villa are currently 12th in the Championship table and are only seven points adrift of the play off places.

Aston Villa have only won once in their last 16 fixtures against the Lilywhites, and they will definitely be looking to rectify this on Sunday.

Shoot! looks at THREE reasons why the Midlands side will leave north London with their name firmly in the fourth round draw.
