The ‘Penalty Kings’ Bradford claimed a famous upset here. It wasn’t just over average opposition either: they managed to take Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal to extra-time and penalties, where they defeated the Gunners. The Bantams took the lead early on through Thompson and they managed to stave off a Gunners team containing the likes of Cazorla, Ramsey and Wilshere until the 88th minute, when the London outfit managed to grab an equaliser through Thomas Vermaelen. However, the League Two side still managed to prevail in the end, winning 3-2 on spot kicks.
