8. Grimsby 1-0 Tottenham – 2nd Round 2005

The League Two club (at the time) bagged a goal right at the death to send Spurs crashing out of the League Cup. Despite the fact the away side boasted a team that consisted of Michael Carrick and Aaron Lennon (with Keane and Defoe also available to come on from the bench) they still couldn’t pull off a win against the lower-league side. Grimsby refused to be overawed by their Premier League opposition and took the fight to them, eventually sealing the win when Kalala found the back of the net.
