We think the greatest Premier League comeback of all time came at St. James’ Park, which saw title hopefuls Arsenal travel to Newcastle. The Gunners romped into a four-goal lead in 40 minutes thanks to strikes from Theo Walcott, Johan Djourou and two from Robin van Persie. But then came Newcastle’s revival, after Abou Diaby was sent off for pushing both Joey Barton and Kevin Nolan. Barton scored his first of the game with 68 minutes on the clock, followed by a Leon Best strike and another Barton spot kick. Arsenal were rocking and, with three minutes left, Cheick Tiote’s stunning strike completed the sensational 19-minute turnaround.
