2. David Silva (Man City)
Roberto Mancini signed David Silva from Valencia in June 2010 and paid £24 million for the Spanish midfielder, a fee, that now, looks an absolute bargain. Silva is a star performer for Manchester City and has won the Premier League twice, the FA Cup and the League Cup in his five years there.
He’s scored 34 goals in 165 Premier League games since his move from La Liga and has a devastating partnership with Argentine striker Sergio Aguero, whom he provides most his assists for.
In a recent poll by City fans, the 29-year-old was also voted the club’s greatest ever player.
