5. David De Gea (Man United)

Since moving from La Liga and Atletico Madrid to the Premier League and Manchester United, David De Gea provided the United fans with some nervy times at the beginning but has since provided many brilliant moments. He made quite a few mistakes in his first season, which led everyone to think he wasn’t worth the £17 million they paid for him.

However, he has very much proved all his doubters wrong. De Gea was Manchester United’s Player of the Season in the 2013/14 and 2014/15 season, keeping them in the majority of games with some world-class saves. This has seen him become one of the best on the planet and Spain’s new number 1. A move back to his homeland with Real Madrid nearly happened, but he has since signed a four-year deal at Old Trafford.
