An eight-goal thriller. Having signed Andrey Arsharvin three months prior, the Gunners unleashed the speedy Russian on Liverpool, and he run riot, scoring an incredible four goals.

Arshavin would open the scoring but Yossi Benayoun added to a leveller from Fernando Torres and gave the Reds the lead. Arshavin scored twice in the second half, but Torres was right there to answer with another equalizer.

The Russian scored his fourth goal, and it seemed that all hope was lost for Liverpool, however, Benayoun’s injury time strike ensured that the spoils were shared. Liverpool would go top of the table with this result, but would lose out to Manchester United in the title race.
