Friend has been an unsung hero for Boro

With Middlesbrough top at the halfway point, it’s no surprise that one of their standout players makes the list. What is a surprise however is that there has been no listed Premier League interest in George Friend. As an attacking full-back he offers a great offensive avenue down the wing, as well as providing great cover defensively. With Boro looking to continue their form into the second part of the season, it will be important for them to keep hold of Friend in January.
