The number nine – A number that many great players have worn through the years. Superstars such as Alan Shearer and Ronaldo are prime examples of players that have donned the number 9 shirt at their respective clubs.

At Chelsea, however, this has not always been the case. Many players that were given the iconic shirt at Stamford Bridge did not live up to expectations or recapture earlier form.
