4. Jamie Vardy (Leicester City)

The once Fleetwood Town striker is a serious contender for this honour after propelling Leicester City to their title win last year.

At 29, Vardy still has the chance to prove that he is one of the Premier League’s leading strikers and he should be a safe bet in this year’s Premier League’s Golden Boot.

His pace is his strongest asset and with the Foxes currently retaining creators Riyad Mahrez and Danny Drinkwater, the Englishman should be able to mount a substantial challenge by feeding off of their through balls and crosses.

Whilst he will face competition for places with Ahmed Musa, Shinji Okazaki and Leonardo Ulloa, Vardy will be really keen to demonstrate that last season was not a one-off.
