Pardew is now one of the most experienced English mangers out there and the FA could be tempted to give him a shot.

Since switching Newcastle United for Crystal Palace, people have really started to take notice of the 54-year-old and some fine early season results saw him being seriously linked to the England job.

Whilst he has done well with the Eagles, making them a solid Premier League outfit and getting them to the FA Cup final last season, poor form and bad results towards the end of the campaign could have dampened many people’s opinions.
