1. Jurgen Klinsmann

Klinsmann really does fit the bill when it comes to the FA’s wish list of managerial qualities.

Not only does he have a winning mentality and an understanding of English football, but he also has plenty of international experience and a tactical superiority that Hodgson and his predecessors have ultimately lacked.

The former Germany player and coach is coming up to five years in charge of the American national team and has recently led them to the semi-final of the Copa America, where they eventually lost to Argentina.

Klinsmann would bring charisma, experience and a proven track record to the job and I don’t think that the FA could do much better than bringing the German into the role.
