As we approach the November international break, after 12 Premier League matches, we take a look at what English players have impressed us the most so far.
It’s been a pretty strange campaign to date with Chelsea currently sitting three points above the relegation zone and Leicester, who battled their way to survival last term, currently sitting a point behind leaders Manchester City and Arsenal.
There’s been some breakthroughs and some new beginnings for some of the English professionals, as we’ve found ourselves a new goalscorer and perhaps a real challenger for goalkeeper Joe Hart.
And with Euro 2016 coming next summer, all of these players will have an eye on making Roy Hodgson’s squad for the finals in France.
Here’s out top 5 English performers in the 2015/16 Premier League to date……
5. Ross Barkley (Everton)
Ross Barkley has been one of the most impressive English midfielders in recent years, but this term he seems to have found more consistency.
The 21-year-old has started every Premier League game this season in which he has scored three goals and also provided his side with three assists – more than he managed in the whole of 2014/15.
As well as his impressive upper body strength, Barkley, who has made 23 key passes, also boasts tidy dribbling and footwork.
If he can keep up this form he could well force himself into England’s starting XI for Euro 2016.
