4. Jonjo Shelvey (Newcastle United)

Newcastle are in a really bad place after a debut loss for Rafael Benitez.

The Toon are enthralled in a battle to retain their Premier League status for another term and only managed to draw against arch-rivals Sunderland in Sunday’s Tyne-Wear derby – a result that helped neither side’s survival bids.

In the aforementioned debut loss for Benitez, where Newcastle were beaten by Leicester City, Shelvey was the centre of every move.

His long ball accuracy and vision makes him a lethal weapon for any team in a relegation scrap.

However; the reason that he is not playing for one of the top teams in the league is because of his attitude. It varies and nobody knows when it will change. His temperament could be the difference between Newcastle surviving and being relegated.
