1. Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City)
Ultimately, Mahrez’s form and fitness will decide whether Leicester can do the unthinkable in winning the Premier League title just 12 months after a scrap to stay in the division.
The Algerian has set the top-flight alight this season and is one of the favourites for the PFA Player of the Year award, alongside teammate Jamie Vardy.
But in recent weeks, it has been Mahrez who has made the difference in the Foxes’ tough matches. It seems certain to me that; if the pressure does not get to him and his form remains impetuous, the 25-year-old, who has scored 16 Premier League goals already this season, will add to his tally and lead Claudio Ranieri’s men to a historic title win.
