He was probably the most renowned Portuguese player in history until Cristiano came along, despite being originally from Mozambique.

Netting 552 times in his career, Eusebio won 11 Portuguese titles with Benfica in 15 years at the club.

He flourished at international level as well, finishing as the top scorer at the 1966 World Cup with nine goals, as well as holding the Portuguese scoring record until 2005.
