2. Luis Suarez (Barcelona and Uruguay)
After coming so close to single-handedly winning Liverpool the league in 2014, Luis Suarez was seen walking off the pitch at Selhurst Park crying his eyes out, understandably devastated after knowing that the title had slipped away. He scored 69 goals for the Merseyside club but with the controversy that came with the Uruguay international, then manager Brendan Rogers had to sell him to Barcelona, where he has maintained his fantastic form. Although he was banned for the first part of the campaign at Barcelona, he scored 25 goals and assisted 20 times in his debut season. These goals, along with Neymar’s and Messi’s, helped the Catalan club secure the treble.
