Abou Diaby in action for the Arsenal Under-21 side.

The Frenchman was at Arsenal for nine years and only made 125 appearances during this time, an average of just 14 appearances per season.

Whilst at the club, the midfielder spent 2156 days out – the most time on the sidelines for a Premier League player ever. He was largely unavailable for Arsene Wenger and his potential has been lost due to his lengthy time on the sidelines.

His fortunes haven’t changed since leaving Arsenal either. In November, Diaby received yet another injury, ruling him out for the rest of the season without making an appearance since signing for Marseille in the summer.
