Whilst the fearsome Hampshire derby between Portsmouth and Southampton is well known, there’s no doubt that there would be no love lost in a game between Paul Cook’s side and their South Coast rivals, Bournemouth.

After FA Cup success and financial ruin, Pompey have seen themselves fall down the football pyramid in the past five years, and only this season have they shown shown signs of recovery. The Cherries on the other hand have gone right in the other direction, with Eddie Howe leading them into the Premier League last season.

To set up the first fixture between the two teams since 2013, firstly Pompey must see off Ipswich Town at Fratton Park in their replay following a 2-2 draw at Portman Road at the weekend.
