1. The flying Foxes

Much to their star striker Jamie Vardy, Leicester are currently second in the Premier League, level on 29 points with Manchester City at the top.

Despite their average first XI this season costing just £20 million, the Foxes are presently defying the odds and holding their own against the league’s best.

Their only league defeat came back in September against Arsenal, but their incredibly tough December which sees them play Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool and Manchester City will give an indication as to how serious they are as title contenders.

This time last season, the Foxes were rock bottom of the Premier League, a position they held until as late as April, before they won seven of their last nine to complete ne of the greatest relegation escape in Premier League history.

Although that triumph was under Nigel Pearson, new boss Claudio Ranieri has maintained the club’s form as they have emerged as genuine top-four.
