1. David Luiz

This transfer definitely came out of the blue and was completed late last night as Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain agreed terms for the transfer of Luiz back to Stamford Bridge.

The 29 year-old had signed for the French Champions on a five-year deal after the 2014 World Cup, but has re-signed for Antonio Conte’s Chelsea in a deal believed to be around £30m.

Chelsea first purchased the defender in January 2011 from Benfica for £21m and, in his first spell with the club, the Brazilian made 143 appearances for The Blues, scoring a total 12 goals.

Since then, Luiz has made 56 appearances for PSG and has completed the French domestic treble with them twice.
