2. Manchester City 1-3 Leicester City – February 6, 2016

Leicester were flying again, demolishing Stoke and Liverpool to move three points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Behind them in the table; though, were Man City, who would surely make their home advantage count and steal pole position against the division’s surprise package.

But this was the day the Foxes revealed themselves as genuine contenders, putting in perhaps the most complete performance of the season.

Centre-half Huth scored a dramatic brace to defeat the 2014 Premier League champions at the Etihad Stadium – Photo: Simon Stacpoole / Offside.

Robert Huth was again on the scoresheet, twice this time, his first coming after just three minutes.

Time and time again; Leicester attacked, finally being rewarded with a second through Riyad Mahrez’s magical trickery just after the break. When Huth netted once more, it seemed as though this could end up any scoreline.

As it was; Sergio Aguero pinched a consolation strike, but the Foxes, who had shocked everyone with their energy, talent and teamwork, showed all three at the Etihad to run out deserved winners.
