1. Claudio Ranieri (Leicester City)

Ranieri’s Leicester have been the story of the season so far

Undoubtedly the best manager in the league this term is Leicester City’s Claudio Ranieri. The Italian though needs to be praised for not changing to much. When he took over from Nigel Pearson in the summer, the ex-Chelsea chief was inheriting a side which, last season, had won seven of their final nine league games to pull of a great escape. Many were worried when Ranieri was unveiled due to the ‘Tinkerman’ nickname he picked up at Stamford Bridge. However, the 64-year-old has only made a few tweaks which saw his side surprisingly lead the table on Christmas Day. Ranieri, who’s seen his team lose just twice all season, has got the best out of record-breaking striker Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez. They are deservedly sitting second, two points off Arsenal at the top, and are genuine top-four contenders.
