Vardy once again showed why he has been one of the Premier League’s Player of the Season contenders in the win against Liverpool.

Leicester’s talisman scored his 17th and 18th goals of the season as the Foxes claimed a vital 2-0 win against Liverpool at the King Power Stadium.

On the hour-mark, the former non-league player scored a goal of the season contender, as the England international collected a delightful long range pass from Riyad Mahrez, before steadying himself and firing a dipping volley home from 25 yards.

He then created a two-goal margin for Claudio Ranieri’s side, latching onto Shinji Okazaki’s deflected shot to lift the ball over Simon Mignolet.

With just 14 games remaining, Leicester are defying all of the pundits’ pre-season predictions as they remain on course to win the title.
