De Gea was at his brilliant best against Chelsea

The Spain international pulled off several world class saves in both halves to claim his first clean sheet in five matches as Manchester United drew 0-0 with Chelsea.

His brilliance athletically denied John Terry’s early header, while he also made a fantastic double save from Pedro and Cesar Azpilicueta after the interval.

Although De Gea was only called upon to make those three crucial saves, his all round defensive management and aerial distribution should also be commended.

His performance came at a time when United boss Louis van Gaal needed it the most, as according to many media reports, the Dutchman is on limited time at Old Trafford.
