3. Petr Cech (Arsenal)

Cech kept his 171st Premier League clean sheet against Newcastle

Once again Cech was influential in denying the opposition as table toppers Arsenal claimed a precious 1-0 over struggling Newcastle.

He made a number of crucial saves; in particular from Georginio Wijnaldum either side of the interval and a double block to deny Aleksandar Mitrovic and Jack Colback, as the Magpies managed six shots against the Czech Republic international.

His all round play, most notably his presence at corners, highlights the fact why he was such an important summer signing.

The Gunners will however have to up their game if they don’t want to have to rely on their in-form shot stopper in the next Premier League match against Liverpool at Anfield.
