Oscar was back to his best against Sunderland

The Brazilian produced a performance akin to the standard which he set last season as he controlled the game and scored from the spot in the process.

With Jose Mourinho now out of the door, the 24-year-old looked a player reborn – tricks, flicks and even a rabona was whipped out as he was responsible for everything that was good about the Blues.

He looked to be settled, enjoying his football, and most importantly, playing with such effortless confidence which hasn’t been seen for a long time.

His cool penalty to put his side 3-0 to the good was reflective of his performance as Sunderland simply couldn’t deal with him all afternoon.
