Leicester City retained their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League after their 1-0 win at home to Newcastle United on Monday night.

This came as Tottenham Hotspur won 2-0 at Aston Villa on Sunday to briefly shorten the Foxes’ advantage to just two points.

Elsewhere, there were also wins for Southampton and Bournemouth.

But in a round disrupted by the FA Cup quarter-finals, who were the top performers?

Here’s Shoot’s Top 5 Premier League Players of the Week…..

Bournemouth have won back to back games in the Premier League for the first time and once again Cook was instrumental.

Despite conceding twice against Swansea, the centre-half was on hand to nod home with 12 minutes remaining, winning a game for the Cherries which will surely see them stay up.

Against all odds, Eddie Howe’s side are now 13 points clear from the relegation zone.
