The 34-year-old Swede added to his debut goal at AFC Bournemouth to notch twice at home against Southampton.

His first goal of the night was a header as he used his entire 6ft 5in frame to power home Wayne Rooney’s cross from the right wing.

After fit-again full-back Luke Shaw was tripped by Jordy Clasie in the area, it was Ibrahimović who stepped up, instead of normal penalty taker Rooney, to score his second goal of the game past Fraser Forster.
