Top 5: Premier League players of the weekend including Arsenal and Liverpool stars

The Premier League returned following the last international break of 2020 with eight matches across the weekend. 

Tottenham Hotspur finished top on a weekend in which they defeated Man City 2-0 but have champions Liverpool behind on only goal difference following a 3-0 victory over Leicester City.

Chelsea also had a brief spell at the summit after beating Newcastle 2-0 in the early Saturday kick-off, while there were also wins for Brighton, West Ham, Everton and Manchester United.

Across the eight games, a bunch of individuals put in impressive displays for their teams.

The German saved Arsenal in their match at Elland Road with a string of top-class saves. Leno brilliantly denied Patrick Bamford and Stuart Dallas, plus made numerous other stops. His handling was assured throughout as he helped the Gunners snatch a point and only their third Premier League clean sheet of the season.
