2. Roy Keane
When you think of Roy Keane, Manchester United is usually one of the first things that come to mind. But before the Irishman signed for the club, he could’ve gone to Blackburn Rovers. With then-side Nottingham Forest being relegated, Keane wanted a move to match his ambitions. This led to a Rovers side, led by Kenny Dalglish, to agree a fee for the Irish star. With the transfer set to be completed on the Friday, incorrect paperwork complicated the deal, and by the Monday, Keane was a United player. This didn’t bode well with Dalglish, who reportedly threatened to sue Keane for broken promises. I think we can all agree that the midfielder made the right decision in moving to Old Trafford, rather than Ewood Park.
